Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters responded to five Emergency Medical Service calls Tuesday. At 2:33 p.m. they were dispatched to U.S. 281 and NE 50 Road where grass and wheat stubble was burning; the fire may have been started by a transformer.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:22 p.m. Tuesday outside the Claflin Post Office, 218 Main, Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:12 p.m. on East U.S. 56 at mile marker 212.

Great Bend Police

A burglary was reported Tuesday at 2501 Cheyenne Dr. Someone broke into the residence and took items.

Farmers Bank & Trust reported a debit card was used without permission.
