Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters had five emergency medical service calls on Thursday.
There was a smoke alarm at 5609 Eisenhower at 3:48 p.m., but no fire.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on NW 120 Ave. and West K-4 near Hoisington at 6:24 a.m. Thursday.
A forklift damaged a utility pole in the 300 block of North Washington Ave. at 6:15 p.m.

Great Bend Police
A 2009 sex offense involving a juvenile was reported Tuesday.
A residential burglary that occurred between 2011 and 2013 was reported Thursday.
