Barton County Sheriff
A fraud case was reported Wednesday after someone filed taxes under a Barton County resident’s Social Security number.
A vehicle ran into a building at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road, at 11:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Monday, five Tuesday and two Wednesday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
A stereo was taken from a vehicle at 1615 Jefferson St., it was reported Wednesday.
Someone damaged a vehicle at 1723 Madison St.
A burglary was reported at 5501 9th St. No. 38. Items were stolen from a shed.
Illegal dumping behind a building in the 500 block of Stone St. was reported.
A female shoplifter was reported at Walmart Supercenter.
A vehicular burglary was reported at 1720 Madison St.; items were stolen.
At 4:44 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported being battered by a known woman at 1516 7th St. A notice to appear in municipal court was signed. The alleged victim also reported theft of a cell phone.
Theft of an iPhone from Park Elementary, 1801 Williams St., was reported.
