Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and four Sunday.
There was a small ditch fire at 1:59 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of SW 50 Ave. A second fire in that area was reported at 3:12 p.m., but when trucks arrived no fire was found.

Barton County Sheriff
Criminal use of a financial case by a known person was reported Thursday.
A vehicle left the road in the 200 block of NE 10 Ave. Friday afternoon and went through a fence.
Four brass valves were stolen from oil wells in the 1100 block of NE 100 Ave.
A vehicle hit a deer on K-4 near NE 110 Ave. at 8:41 p.m. Friday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 11:30 p.m. Friday on East U.S. 56 near 40 Ave.
Two men were questioned by officers after someone reported they were walking around the Olmitz co-op around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They were hunting for worms.
A vehicle backed into a vehicle on North U.S. 281 and NE 50 Road on Sunday.

Great Bend Police
An identity theft case was reported Friday.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of 32nd Pl.
A case was taken Saturday for illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Damage to a 1999 GMC pickup at 1203 Madison St. was reported Sunday. Loss was $4,000.
A motorist in a blue van reportedly drove off from 3620 10th St. at 9:19 p.m. Sunday without paying for $98.38 in fuel.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a mailbox in the 1200 block of Roxanne Dr., around 12:20 a.m. Monday.
