Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A car hit a turkey at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday on North U.S. 281 at NW 70 Road.
A cement truck rolled at 2:13  p.m. Thursday on U.S. 281. BCSO did not respond because the accident was half a mile north of the Barton-Russell County line.
A motorist slid off the 300 block of K-96 at 5:02 a.m. Thursday. There was no damage but he reported the bridges were very slick.
A Chevy Silverado went off the road at 5:53 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Barton County Road. Kansas Highway Patrol responded. At 5:55 a.m., a motorist in a Nissan lost control on the ice covered bridge in this same area, and hit the guard rail.
A Ford Ranger pickup became stuck in the ditch in the 200 block of K-96 at 6:39 a.m. Thursday. KHP responded. BCSO joined the Patrol when a second accident occurred in this area at 7:05 a.m.; a westbound vehicle struck the bridge.
Vehicles collided in a non-injury accident at 7:17 a.m. Thursday on NE 30 Road (Bissell’s Point Road) and North U.S. 281. KHP responded.
An overturned section of an irrigation system was in the road south of Ellinwood near SE 70 Road and SE 100 Ave., it was reported Thursday afternoon. It was in Stafford County and was handled by Stafford County and KHP.

Great Bend Police
A Ruger .45 Long Colt and a hammer were stolen from a truck at 2100 24th St., it was reported Thursday.
A car tire was cut at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St., it was discovered Thursday afternoon.
A known person allegedly stole items worth $335 from Walmart, 3503 10th St. A notice to appear in Great Bend Municipal Court was served.
