Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Tuesday.
At 3:35 p.m. units responded to the south of Stone Lake on the river for a grass fire.

Barton County Sheriff
A dump truck backed into a truck at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday on NE 80 Ave. and East U.S. 56.
A vehicle hit a deer at 11:36 p.m. Tuesday, south of Great Bend on U.S. 281.

Great Bend Police
A dog was stolen from the yard at 1612 Stone St., it was reported Tuesday.
Someone damaged the window on a Jeep at 1523 Lakin Ave.
The K-9 unit was called out for a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Eighth St.
An arson case was taken Tuesday after a sparker bomb caused a grass fire, around 9:55 p.m. in the 2400 block of Railroad Ave.
The K-9 unit was called out for a traffic stop at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Kiowa Road. A 31-year-old man was arrested and booked in the Barton County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
