Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Tuesday and eight Wednesday.
At 3:57 p.m. Tuesday crews from Great Bend and Albert responded to a grass fire at 240 NW 20 Ave. They found a small area of grass and an old shed on fire. Great Bend Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said the property was owned by Homer Kruckenberg. Gerald Oetken from Larned was using a cutting torch to cut old farm machinery when a spark or ember caught the grass on fire.  Damage was estimated at $200.

Fight reported
A fight in progress was reported at 9:57 p.m. at the Handlebar and Grill, 807 10th St., Great Bend. Officers from the Great Bend Police Department and Barton County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched, along with an ambulance. A 37-year-old man reported being battered by an unknown male.

Barton County Sheriff
Morphine and Xanax pills were reportedly stolen Tuesday night from 301 Hoisington Ave., Susank.
A fraud case was reported Wednesday.
Tools were stolen from a shop at 121 Second St., Great Bend.
A non-injury accident at 3010 17th St., Great Bend, was reported at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
At 8:11 p.m., someone in a Jeep Cherokee was reportedly on the river/Stone Lake area (100 block of SW 10 Ave.) and fired bullets that went through a shed that a person was in.
A gas skip at 410 East Santa Fe. Blvd., Ellinwood, was reported at 12:54 a.m. Thursday.

Great Bend Police
A resident reported someone using his debit card.
A sex offense was reported at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
A burglary was reported at 1318 Macarthur Road. A handgun was stolen from the residence.
