Firefighters made five ambulance runs Monday.
At 12:20 p.m., units responded to a small fire in the ditch at SW 30 Road and SW 70 Ave. The landowner advised he was doing some burning and had left thinking the fire was out.
Barton County Sheriff
Monday, an individual reported someone had dumped asbestos into Big Bend Lake on Saturday morning, and said a witness had a description and license number for a suspect vehicle.
A burglary was reported at Eazy Street restaurant, 54 NE 20 Road. Someone tried to enter the business through the back door. A storage unit was broken into and its contents taken.
A pickup hit a deer at 8:53 a.m. Monday on NW K-96 and NW 120 Ave.
A burglary was reported at 532 NW 160 Road. A welding truck was broken into sometime Sunday night.
A possible injury accident involving a car and a pickup was reported at 8:05 p.m. on East K-4 and NE 90 Ave. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A burglary was reported at 703 NW 30 Road. Someone broke locks on a building and removed gas cans.

A theft case was taken Monday at Love’s, 1221 10th St.
Theft by a female was reported at Dillons, 4107 10th St.
A tow dolly allegedly stolen from U-Haul was located in Hoisington and picked up by the owner.
David L. Hunter Sr., Great Bend, was allegedly seen stealing items from Walmart, 3503 10th St., on Monday. He was located and reportedly ran from officers, who located him again and served notices to appear in municipal court on charges of theft and obstruction. He was later arrested at the Highland Hotel, 3017 10th St., on a Great Bend Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear.
A vehicle driven by Bernardo Renteria was westbound in the 3200 block of 10th St. at 12:35 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Rachael Donovan, who was stopped in traffic.
A female reportedly stole spray paint from AutoZone, 2219 10th St.
Theft from a vehicle on 21st St. was reported.
A vehicle driven by Adam Schwager hit a light pole at 5:32 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Main St.
A subject reportedly stole items from the Dillons store at 1811 Main St.
