Barton County Sheriff
A Toyota Corolla driven by Randy L. Weaver of Olmitz was eastbound on K-96 near 70 Ave. at 6:22 a.m. Monday when it hit a deer. Weaver sustained minor injuries from the airbag deploying and was checked by Emergency Medical Service. He declined being transported by EMS.
After an individual was bitten by a cat Monday afternoon at the Golden Belt Humane Society, he received treatment at St. Rose Urgent Care.

Great Bend Police
A counterfeit $20 bill was received at First Kansas Bank, 4001 10th St., it was reported Monday.
A purse left in a shopping cart at the Westgate Shopping Center, 1649 K-96, was reportedly stolen.
An officer assisted an officer from another agency with an arrest at 2:18 p.m. Monday at The Center for Counseling and Consultation, 5818 Broadway Ave.
A burglary at 318 Firethorn St. was reported. Someone took miscellaneous items from the residence.
Someone allegedly used the City of Great Bend gas card to get 19 gallons of fuel from the Street Department at 525 Morton St.
Police were asked to check the area after someone reported seeing a table with “help” written on it, Monday evening in the 1400 block of Holland St. Nothing was found.
Vehicles driven by Joseph James Bohr and Loretta Stevenson collided on 10th Street at 5:19 p.m. Monday.
A burglary at 802 Maple St. was reported. Someone entered the residence and took a wallet and two containers of change. Total loss was $200.
