Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Monday. At 7:54 p.m. they responded to a possible car fire at 810 Fry St.  They found no fire but a belt had broken, causing the vehicle to overheat.

Barton County Sheriff
A Ford Ranger pickup was stuck half in the river at 9:20 a.m. Monday, 3/4 mile west of Washington St. on the south side of the dike.

Great Bend Police
Someone broke a window on a sport utility vehicle at 1720 Harrison St., it was reported Monday morning.
Two individuals reported unknown persons writing checks on their accounts.
Damage to a vehicle on Broadway Ave. was reported.
