Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Monday and seven Tuesday.
At 11:41 p.m. Monday trucks responded to a reported grass fire at 2200 Monroe St. They arrived to find the resident had extinguished the fire with a garden hose. They were told a discarded a cigarette started the fire.
At 1:15 a.m. Wednesday they responded to an alarm at Taco Bell, 3607 10th St. There was no fire.

A vehicle hit a deer 1 mile east of Hoisington on East K-4 at 5:39 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
A vehicle hit a deer on East K-4 at NE 110 Ave. at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday.
A dark blue 1998 Ford F-150 pickup with a silver and orange stripe was reportedly stolen from 628 West U.S. 56 around 1 a.m. Friday.
Theft of a tank battery from 125 NW 200 Road was reported Friday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 6 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of SE 60 Ave.
Theft of diesel fuel on two occasions at 428 Pawnee Ave., Pawnee Rock, was reported Saturday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 10:37 p.m. Saturday on NE 60 Ave. and NE 170 Road.
A burglary occurred sometime over the weekend at 582 South U.S. 281.
A vehicle hit a mailbox at 110 NE 40 Road, it was reported Monday morning.
A motor was stolen from a boat at 713 Patton Road, it was discovered Monday.
A pickup hit a deer around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on NE 30 Road near Barton Community College.
Items were stolen over the weekend from Knop Sand, rural Ellinwood.

Great Bend Police
A hit and run vehicle struck a vehicle parked at 705 10th St., it was reported Monday.
Police received reports of a purse lost at Walmart, a faded red Coach purse lost somewhere downtown, and a cell phone lost in the 1300 block of Eisenhower St. On Monday evening, someone turned in a backpack found at 3908 10th St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Nancy J. Converse as she was stopped at the light at Broadway and Williams St. at 11:29 a.m. Monday.
A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Parks Department, 2251 Williams.
Vehicles driven by Michael Ringo and Charlene Weigel collided in the 3600 block of Broadway at 2:39 p.m. Monday.
An identity theft case was taken after someone used a resident’s name to set up an account at Speedy Cash.
Theft of a license tag from a car at 615 Odell St. was reported Tuesday.
A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.
Unknown persons reportedly used a checking account at Walmart without permission. Reported losses were $330.84 and $477.46.
A $42.29 gas skip was reported at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday at 1001 Main. A gold mini-van left without paying for fuel.
