Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Monday. There was one fire call. At 12:08 a.m. this morning units responded to 700 Fry for a dumpster fire at ACME scrap. The fire was contained to the contents in the dumpster the fire was extinguished.

Great Bend Police
Theft of a cell phone was reported at 806 Monroe St.
Theft was reported at Marmie used cars. An unknown subject cut the fence to the impound lot and stole a four wheeler.
Theft was reported at 2815 Broadway Ave. An unknown subject loaded up a shed and stole it.
Fraud was reported at Walmart located at 3503 10th St.
Fraud was reported at Dillons located at 4107 10th St.
Fraud was reported at JC Penny located at 1500 Kansas Ave.
Fraud was reported at Zip Stop located at 3620 10th St.
Fraud was reported at Casey’s General Store located at 1315 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff
Feb. 12
Burglary was reported at 104 Texas.
Feb. 14
Theft of a chain saw and a flashlight was reported at 115 Garfield in Olmitz.
Feb. 15
Burglary was reported at 1812 Main St. in Hitschmann.

Kansas Highway Patrol
The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a one vehicle accident in Rush County at 9:45 on Monday.
A 2005 Buick Terraza driven by William Cheney, 69, of Utica, was on U.S. 183. The vehicle entered the east ditch, continued northbound in the ditch, vaulted over Avenue A and came to rest in the east ditch.
Cheney and the passenger Sherron Cheney had possible injuries and were taken to Hays Medical. They were wearing their seat belts.
