Firefighters had five Emergency Medical Service calls on Tuesday.
There was a smoke smell at 1705 Main at 10:07 a.m., but no fire was found in the building.

Barton County call logs show a ditch fire was reported on West U.S. 56 and 90 Ave. at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on NW 30 Ave. and NW K-96 at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Ramon Stoltenberg was eastbound on 10th St. at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Michaela Usoro, who was stopped waiting to turn.
