Great Bend Police
On Wednesday, an individual reported someone living in a trailer house he owns at 910 Ninth St. A male and female were contacted and told to leave the property. Items inside the residence were collected as “found property.” As the investigation continued, officers recovered items allegedly stolen out of Houston, Texas.
At 11:35 a.m., Barton County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBPD to respond to a theft report from the 1400 block of Second St.
An identity theft case was reported.
Police responded to the 2000 block of Baker Ave. at 6:50 p.m., after receiving a report of four males fighting in the street, but did not find them.
At 5:41 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle theft and aggravated battery was reported to have occurred on Eighth St. The reporting party said a known person stole her vehicle and ran over her foot trying to get away. The suspect later sent a text message saying he was going to bring the vehicle back at some point.

A vehicle hit a deer at 6:36 p.m. on East K-4 between Hoisington and Redwing.
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:43 p.m. on K-156, west of NE 120 Ave.
