Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Monday. At 5:33 p.m. they were dispatched to Gambino’s Pizza, 1309 Main, where rags were found smoldering under a sink. The building was cleared of smoke.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Billy Farmer was northbound on Main St. at 12:56 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Ann Sullivan, who was westbound on 19th St.
A known person allegedly stole two televisions from Walmart on Jan. 18, it was reported Friday.
Damage to a fence at 1603 Morton St. was reported.
Unauthorized use of credit cards and a debit card at Walmart and Zip’s was reported.
A gas skip at Century Fuels,  5200 10th St., was reported.
Theft of a television from the High Rise was reported Friday night.
Theft of a gun from a home at 5948 Birchwood Dr. was reported at 2:25 a.m. Saturday.
Theft of a Nook, $160 cash and a Visa from Travelodge, 3200 10th St,. was reported at 3:32 a.m. Saturday.
A gas skip at 4107 10th St. was reported at 9:51 p.m. Saturday.
Damage to the driver’s side window of a Chevy S-10 pickup at 3820 McKinley Dr. was reported Sunday.
Theft of a cell phone from 1424 10th St. was reported Sunday night.
A known person allegedly stole money from Walmart. Two notices to appear in municipal court were served.
A vehicle driven by Hanna Harris was southbound on McKinley St.  at 3:19 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Tina Burhenn, who was stopped in traffic at 10th St.
Matthew Pritchet was released from the Barton County Jail last Friday for sentence served. He was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Monday at 5210 10th St., for alleged battery of a law enforcement officer. Bond was set at $1,000.
A burglary at 5715 Aspen Dr. Apt. 2 was reported Monday night. Someone entered the residence and took $100 in quarters.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at 2:56 a.m. Tuesday at 800 Madison St., for flee and elude, no driver’s license and no turn signal.
Police assisted the Kansas Bureau of Investigation in investigating an alleged narcotics violation at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday at 4200 10th St., and at 6:57 a.m. a warrant was executed at 229 Chestnut St.

Barton County Sheriff
A Barton County resident reported Friday that someone unsuccessfully attempted the “Grandmother Scam.” An unknown person called her home saying her grandson was in trouble and needed $3,700. It was not her grandson but she did not send any money and no case was filed for the attempted fraud.
Subjects left trash at 80 SW 9 Road, it was reported Sunday. An illegal dumping case was filed and names in the trash were being investigated.
A car hit a deer in the 1600 block of Susank Road at 6:30 a.m. Monday.
A burglary at Eakin Ready-Mix, 3024 Railroad Ave., was reported Monday. Sometime over the weekend, padlocks were cut and 75 gallons of fuel was stolen, along with miscellaneous equipment.
