Kansas Highway Patrol
A Colorado Springs, Colo., man was injured Monday after falling asleep while driving in Stafford County. Thomas W. Gantz, 36, was northbound on NE 80th Ave., six miles north of Stafford, at 10:17 a.m. He was driving a Toyota passenger car that entered the west ditch and then came back onto the roadway. It then and struck a guard rail, re-entered the east ditch and rolled. Gantz was taken to Stafford County Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a turkey on North Susank Blacktop at NW 160 Road, at 4:51 p.m. Friday.
A one-vehicle non-injury accident on NE 140 Ave. at NE 90 Road was reported at 9:37 a.m. Sunday. The driver of a red, 2004 Dodge Ram was not at the scene, so the vehicle was towed. At 12:39 p.m. the owner of the pickup said he’d let another person borrow it, and that person had not returned.

Great Bend Police
A gas skip involving a white Pontiac was reported at 5:43 p.m. Friday at 1315 10th St. There was also a gas skip at 2:18 p.m. Saturday at 3907 Broadway Ave., and one at 7 p.m. Sunday involving a white Ford F-250 or F-350 at 2334 Main St.
Multiple fireworks and noise complaints were lodged Friday night, most of Saturday and Sunday night at various locations.
Marlon N. Amaya-Hernandez, Great Bend, was driving through a parking lot at 1315 10th St. over the noon hour on Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Darl Strodtman. Amaya-Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving under the influence. Bond was set at $2,500.
A statue of the Blessed Mother was stolen from a yard at 1401 19th St. Loss was $200.
A notice to appear in Great Bend Municipal Court was signed Saturday after criminal damage to property was reported at 2100 10th St.
A truck window was broken at 1500 U.S. 281 Bypass, it was reported Saturday. On Sunday, it was also reported that a hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle parked at that address.
Damage to a vehicle at 809 Williams St. was reported Sunday, and someone damaged the driver side mirror on a vehicle at 805 Williams St.
Children were reportedly tearing up a fish pond at 1705 Holland St.
