Firefighters made two ambulance runs Wednesday.
At 6:16 p.m. they responded to a small unauthorized fire on the river bed at Second and Main.

A forgery case was taken Wednesday at the Kwik Shop, 2334 Main.
Following a dog bite on 20th St., an individual was served a notice to appear in municipal court.
A purse was reportedly stolen from 1218 Adams St.
Vehicles driven by Oma Sharp and Sandra Jenas collided at 1:18 p.m. at Lakin and Morton.
A vehicle window was broken at 1520 Kansas Ave.
A 1999 Ford Mustang was reportedly stolen from 2010 27th St.

Two people were injured Wednesday when two cars collided at 9:26 p.m. in Ellis County. The accident occurred on K-255, half a mile south of Interstate 70. Olilla M. Schmeidler, 89, of Hays, was in a northbound Ford Taurus turning left. She turned in front of a southbound passenger car driven by Claudia Rothe, 55, Great Bend. Both were taken to Hays Medical Center in Hays with undetermined injuries.
