Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Tuesday.
After fighting a grass/tree fire in southeast Great Bend for several hours during the day, firefighters returned to Fifth and Plum streets around 7:30 p.m. to extinguish some trees after the fire rekindled.

Ellinwood Fire Department
A combine started a fire in a wheat field 3 miles east and 1 mile north of Ellinwood at 12:25 p.m.

Barton County Sheriff
A motorist lost control of a vehicle, which went off the 1100 block of NE 160 Road and hit a tree stump, sometime before 12:54 p.m. Tuesday.
A vehicle hit a deer on U.S. 56 at 90 Ave. at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday.

Great Bend Police
A toolbox was stolen from the back of a truck at 1304 Eisenhower Ave., it was reported Tuesday.
Roberta Barlow, 100 Elm St., was cited for multiple dogs and no rabies vaccinations after 50 dogs were removed from the mobile home on Tuesday.
Theft of a decal from a vehicle at 2108 29th St. was reported.
A burglary was reported at 2520 Shawnee Drive. A laptop and cash were stolen.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle parked at 2005 Kansas Ave.
A theft was reported at 5965 16th St. Terrace.
A flash drive with a special computer program on it was reportedly stolen from 5520 10th St. Loss was $2,000.
An identity theft case was reported.
Alcohol was reportedly stolen from 4006 10th St.
A vicious animal case was taken at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday when a dog reportedly charged another man’s dog at 705 10th St.
