Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Thursday, five Friday, none Saturday and nine Sunday.
At 12:14 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were dispatched to 821 Baker Ave., where a fire was caused by an improperly installed wood burning stove. Damage to the house was about $2,500.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 1621 Second St. was reported Friday morning. The suspect was a known person.
Antonio Carrasco was driving east on 21st St. at 11:46 a.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Tammy Sturn, who was also eastbound on 21st stopped at the stop sign at Morton St.
A vehicle driven by Diana Clausen was westbound in the 3500 block of 10th St. at 12:05 p.m. Friday when she was run off the road and onto the curb. Her vehicle struck a large flower pot.
A known person allegedly stole another person’s wallet while they were riding around together, it was reported Friday.
An individual reported being the victim of a pick pocket at 4905 10th St. Loss was $300.
The license tag KS 988FCC was reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 2108 29th St.
A $55 gas skip at 1315 10th St. was reported at 11:50 a.m. Saturday.
A purse was reportedly stolen from 1206 Patton Road.
Clothing and a red, 24-inch girls Trek bicycle were reported stolen from 2549 McBride Parkway. Loss was $600.
At 3:32 a.m. Sunday, a burglary was reported at 910 Stone St. Unknown persons entered the house, taking cash, checks, a cell phone and an iPod.
A gas skip occurred at 2:06 p.m. Sunday at 1315 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A burglary at 361 NW 50 Ave. was reported Friday. A red 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup and other items were allegedly stolen.
A vehicle driven by Rebecca Morgan hit a deer on 245 NE 30 Road at 7:48 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday the BCSO assisted Ellinwood Police Department with a case of suspected prostitution and promoting prostitution.
Dana Weber lost control of a car on ice in the 2000 block of NE 90 Ave. and hit a utility pole at 8:56 a.m. Sunday. Other slide-offs with no damage were also reported.
A motorist in a Pontiac lost control of the car on the slushy roadway in the 400 block of north Washington Ave. at 11:58 a.m. Sunday and hit a tree.
