Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Monday and five Tuesday.
A smoke alarm was triggered by cooking Tuesday afternoon at 817 Williams St. The home was checked and firefighters returned to the station.

Barton County Sheriff
A safe was found in a ditch in the 200 block of SW 2 Road and turned over to the sheriff’s office last Thursday.
A car and deer collided at mile marker 168 of K-96 at 9:19 p.m. Thursday.
Locks were cut off several storage units on West Santa Fe Blvd., Ellinwood, last week.
A sport utility vehicle and a Freightliner truck were involved in a minor accident at Railroad Ave. and McKinley St., Great Bend, at 4:57 p.m. Friday.
A known person allegedly damaged a car and television at 130 A Kiowa Road, it was reported Saturday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Greg Keenan backed into a parked vehicle on 16th St. at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Burglary of a storage shed at 1013 Stone St. was reported.
A 2003 Chevrolet pickup was reportedly stolen from 1216 Morton St. in Great Bend and later recovered in Ellinwood.
A known person reportedly stole and individual’s clothes at 2317 Franklin St.
A vehicle driven by Destiny Hayward backed into a parked vehicle at 3:40 a.m. Sunday at 2538 Sixth St.
At 1:16 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported being assaulted by another woman she did not know at 3600 10th St.
On Monday morning, damage to a 2004 Pontiac at 2000 McKinley St. was reported.
