Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Monday. There was one fire call.
At 2:32 p.m. units responded to 281 and SW 70 road for some trees smoldering.
Upon arrival units found a small amount of smoke coming from a burn pit on the south side of 70 road.
This was actually in Stafford County and was a result of a controlled burn a few days ago.
The smoldering trees were extinguished and Stafford County was notified.

Great Bend Police
A non-injury accident was reported at 1303 Baker Ave.
Theft was reported at 1106 Morphy St.
A non-injury accident was reported at 10th and Harding St.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft was reported at NW 80 Road and NW 10 Ave.
