Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Thursday. At 10:52 p.m. they were summoned to 9047 Sixth St., in the Airport Addition, for a report of smoke. There was no fire, just steam from off-loading rail cars.

Great Bend Police
A black bag containing $50 was stolen from an apartment at the High Rise, 1101 Kansas Ave., it was reported Thursday.
An individual reported theft of a checkbook from an unknown location, and said checks were being written at Walmart.
An eastbound hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Roxana Ibarra, who was westbound in the 3000 block of 16th St., at 12:10 p.m. Thursday.
At 1:49 p.m. Thursday, the Barton County Sheriff’s Office reported suspected stolen property was in Great Bend, and the possible owner from Hays was en route to check. Later in the afternoon, an officer recovered a four-wheeler, allegedly stolen from Ellis County, at 1809 Jackson St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a car in the parking lot at 4107 10th St.
A wallet and money were reportedly stolen from 805 Kansas Ave.
A resident in the 1300 block of Monroe reported two lost dogs at 7:27 p.m. Thursday, and at 10:03 p.m. a resident in the 1900 block of Madison St. reported two lab cross puppies missing from the back yard.
An individual reported losing cash and a black belt clip phone in the 3500 block of 10th St.
A resident in the 2300 block of Monroe requested extra patrols because of people in the yard late at night, and at 10:40 p.m. a resident in the 3100 block of 27th St. reported a possible prowler.

Barton County Sheriff
An four-wheeler was reportedly stolen from 160 South U.S. 281 sometime Wednesday night.
A county resident reported an attempted fraud after someone called on the telephone wanting her bank account information. She hung up on them. No case was taken because there was no loss.

Jerry Durr, Olmitz — $500 surety
Douglas Meredith, Great Bend — Release ordered by Great Bend Municipal Court
Joseph McNett, Great Bend — Own-recognizance bonds of $20,000, $25,000 and $645.30; one case was dismissed and he received an order of release on two municipal cases
Mario Garcia-Montelongo, Great Bend — $1,000 bond
Christopher Konrade, Great Bend — $1,000 own-recognizance bond and a $1,000 surety bond
