Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Tuesday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of Second St. over the noon hour on Tuesday. Richard Buess was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer and obstruction, and booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.
A newspaper rack at 5200 10th St. was damaged and money was taken, it was reported Tuesday.
A burglary was reported at L and L Training and Consultation, 1901 Washington Ave. Two laptop computers and routers and $400 cash were stolen.
A sexual battery was reported. A suspect was served a notice to appear (NTA) in municipal court.
A female allegedly stole $10 from Walmart, 3503 10th St., and an NTA was signed to be served.
A fraud case was taken after a Great Bend resident reported an unknown person using his Social Security number to file taxes.
Theft of a purse from 3920 10th St. occurred Monday, it was reported Tuesday.
Money was reportedly stolen from a wallet at the Kwik Shop, 3907 Broadway.
A 35-year-old man allegedly shoplifted a beer from the Presto Convenience Store at 2337 Washington around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday. An NTA was served.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of items from 4 NW 30 Road was reported Tuesday.
A possible injury accident reported around 2:30 a.m. on May 7 was assigned a case number on Wednesday at the conclusion of the investigation. Marquasha Robinson, a resident of Barton Community College student housing, was complaining of head and neck pain after the vehicle she was driving hit a natural gas marker at 162 NE 10 Road. She was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital by Great Bend ambulance, but reportedly had no injuries and was released.
