Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Thursday.
At 10:03 p.m., units responded to 1810 Hubbard St. for a report of fire in the back yard. The fire was in a barrel and it was extinguished.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a building at 11:21 a.m. Thursday at 255 Patton Road and left the area.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:06 p.m. on NE 150 Road and NE 30 Ave., 3 miles east of Susank on the blacktop.

Great Bend Police
A handgun was stolen from 1801 Stone St., it was reported Thursday.
In the afternoon, several shopping carts were found in the 1700 block of Baker Ave. and returned to Dillon’s.
A narcotics violation was reported at 2:29 p.m. in the 1200 block of Baker Ave.
Residents reported skunks in town: 2:25 p.m., in the storage room at Rosewood Furniture Gallery, 1607 Main (Golden Belt Humane Society Responded); 3:53 p.m., behind 2542 McBride Parkway; and 4:48 p.m., in the area of 23rd St.
At 3:05 a.m. Friday, a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer with Kansas license 501 HCX was reportedly stolen from 2202 29th St.
