An accident report in the May 22 “On the Record” was incorrect. Great Bend Police Department released the correct information on Thursday:
A vehicle driven by Victor Parsell, 54, Raymond, was northbound on Main at 3 p.m. on May 20 and hit a vehicle driven by Justin Merritt, 32, Seneca, who was eastbound on 24th St. Both drivers reported they had a green light, but after talking to a witness, police cited Merritt with failure to yield at a red light, and no proof of insurance. Michael Kramer, 36, Great Bend, a passenger in Merritt’s vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Great Bend Regional Hospital and treated for neck and back injuries.
