Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made seven Emergency Medical Service runs Monday, three Tuesday and five Wednesday.
At 1:14 p.m. Tuesday they were dispatched to the river dike where a subject was doing some illegal burning.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 330 East U.S. 56 Wednesday evening.
Another vehicle hit a deer on North U.S. 281 at NW 70 Road around 6:20 p.m. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A truck tractor hit one of three or four cows on the highway north of Hoisington on K-4 shortly before 8:30 p.m. KHP responded.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 2534 Broadway Ave. was reported Wednesday. A GPS was stolen from a vehicle and a jigsaw from the garage. Loss was $650.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 2006 Broadway Ave.
Two females reportedly stole a brass statue Wednesday afternoon from 1705 Main. Loss was $5.
A vehicle driven by Leatrice Christie was eastbound in the 2400 block of Forest Ave. at 7:03 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Rachelle Zamarrippa, who was also eastbound.
