Barton County Sheriff
A car hit a raccoon on East U.S. 56 at NE 60 Ave. at 6:45 a.m. Monday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A car hit a deer on East U.S. 56 in front of the Fort Zarah rest area at 6:52 a.m. Monday.
A trailer at 517 Washington Ave. was broken into and an all-terrain vehicle was stolen, it was reported Monday morning. The ATV was recovered.
A pump and motor were stolen off a truck at United Ag Service, 101 Steinert St., Galatia, over the weekend.

Great Bend Police
A counterfeit $20 bill was received at Presto, 2337 Washington St., it was reported Monday.
A burglary at The Barn, 2801 Main was reported. Someone entered the bar, stole alcohol and damaged a video game.
Someone entered a vehicle at 2016 Adams St. and took hunting items.
A vehicle driven by Amanda Preeo was eastbound on 24th St. turning south onto Main at 3:05 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Shirley Link, who was southbound on Main.
A vehicle was eastbound in the 2100 block of 27th St. at 3:45 p.m. and sideswiped a parked vehicle, then left. An officer located a suspect and a vehicle, which was impounded.
A City tag was stolen from a vehicle on Sixth St.
A known person was served a notice to appear in municipal court, after allegedly shoplifting Monday from Dillon’s, 4107 10th St.
The front door to The Front Door, 1615 10th St., was open, it was discovered Monday evening.
