Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Thursday, six Friday, one Saturday and two Sunday.
At 4:41 p.m. Thursday there was a grass fire in the 2200 block of Harrison St., caused by an arcing power line.
At 7:33 p.m. Sunday, there was a fire on an oil pumper hose at NW 80 Ave. and NW 20 Road.

Great Bend Police
Theft of an MP3 player and a Mac notebook computer from 5210 10th St. Apt. 6 was reported Friday.
Theft of a coat from 2716 10th St. was reported.
A computer fraud case was taken after a woman reported someone getting her banking information from her e-mail.
A resident reported someone attempted to use the “Grandmother Scam” on her, by calling on the phone and saying her grandson was in prison and needed money.
A forged check was written at Ampride, 2302 10th St, it was reported Friday.
An unknown motorist hit a fence on Eighth St., it was discovered Friday.
A cream colored Panama Jack bicycle was stolen from 3920 10th St..
A man allegedly stole two cartons of cigarettes from 3220 10th St. around 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Theft of a silver, 26-inch mountain bike from 2810 Forest Ave. was reported Friday. It had been found by an officer and was released to the owner.
Theft of money from the office at 705 10th St. was reported Sunday.
Someone cut down a tree at 1436 Lakin Ave.

Barton County Sheriff
A general transport bus driven by Robert Kretzer hit a sign post in the 600 block of Main St. at 7:09 a.m. Friday, when he made a U-turn at the city shops.
Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 87 SW 10 Ave. sometime on Oct. 7.
Someone broke a window on a Pawnee Rock Fire Department vehicle, it was reported Friday.
A vehicle hit a cow in the 400 block of NE 190 Road at 1:09 a.m. Saturday.
Vehicles hit deer Saturday on East U.S. 56 at mile maker 211 (three-fourths of a mile east of Dartmouth) at 7:38 p.m., and at NW 90 Ave. and NW 130 Road at 9:51 p.m.
BCSO responded to a fight between two Barton Community College students at 10:05 p.m. Sunday at the Cottonwood dorm.
