Correction
A motorcycle passenger was incorrectly listed as a pedestrian in last Friday’s On The Record. The corrected information is as follows: An injury accident was reported at 7:35 p.m. Sept. 10 on Wilson St. Mason Hiss was on a 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle that was laid over. Hiss and passenger Heidi Martin were transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Monday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A truck hit a power line at 8:56 a.m. Monday, a quarter mile south of Claflin on NE 130 Ave.
After a truck was left in the 100 block of North U.S. 281 with a flat tire, someone broke into it and took several items.
A vehicle went into the ditch in the 200 block of North Washington Ave.
A Honda Pilot hit a deer at 8:17 p.m. on north U.S. 281 and NE 30 Road.

Great Bend Police
Police assisted in traffic control Monday morning as a garage was moved from 455 Grapevine St. in Ellinwood.
A Child In Need of Care (CINC) case was taken.
A known person allegedly passed a worthless check at 1315 10th St. on Saturday and did not return to pay for fuel and a 30 pack of Keystone.
At 3:30 p.m., an officer found a pitch fork in the roadway on 10th St.
