Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made two ambulance runs Tuesday.
At 3:42 p.m. units responded to 1311 Harding St. for an oven fire. Upon arrival found no fire or smoke. The owner stated the oven was sparking and upon further investigation they found the heating element inside had burned through, causing the sparking.

Great Bend Police
A hit-and-run accident struck a legally parked vehicle at Great Bend Middle School, 1919 Harrison St., it was reported Tuesday.
Keys and money were reportedly stolen from 2316 12th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A possible burglary was reported at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday on Third Ave. in Albert.
