Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to seven calls Friday with another that was canceled en route, 10 Saturday with another canceled en route and five Sunday.

Fire calls Friday include a trash can on fire 2:50 a.m. at 1433 2nd St., a structure fire at 5:54 a.m. at 292 N. Washington Ave.; unauthorized burns at 2 p.m. and 6:08 p.m. in the 4200 block of Railroad Ave.; a report of trees burning at 2:57 p.m. at SE 50 Road and SE 40 Ave.; and a report of possible electrical issues after a lightning strike at 9:47 p.m. at 4407 Prairie Rose Circle.

A vehicle fire was reported Saturday in the 300 block of SW 50 Avenue. There was also an unauthorized burn Saturday in the 4200 block of Railroad Ave.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:11 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of NW 60 Ave., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:18 a.m. at NW 30 Ave. and NW 70 Road, Hoisington.


Great Bend Police 

A tire was slashed on a vehicle at 2330 McKinley St., it was reported Friday.

Theft of gasoline was reported at Great Bend Ambpride, 2302 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:13 p.m. at 2220 Forest Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:29 p.m. at 16th and Monroe.

A burglary was reported at Superior Self Storage LLC, 821 Washington St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:26 a.m. Saturday at 1323 2nd St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:58 a.m. in the 1000 block of Sheridan St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:29 p.m. Sunday at 1444 11th St.

A theft was reported at 801 Heizer St.

Criminal damage to a public bus at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave., was reported Monday morning. Loss was $1,000.
