Barton County Sheriff

A K-9 unit was called to Presto-Circle K following a 2:42 p.m. traffic stop at 2337 Washington St. on Friday.

A theft was reported at the VFW, 504 Washington.

A burglary in progress was reported at 11:34 p.m. Friday at 608 Windmill Lane, Great Bend.

A fraud was reported Saturday at 194 Regents Road, Great Bend (Bissel’s Point).

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:12 p.m. Saturday on K-96, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at K-156 and NE 100 Road, Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6 p.m. at 155 NW 10 Ave., Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A fraud was reported Friday at Walmart.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:30 p.m. at 10th and Main.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:38 p.m. at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St.

Theft of a Chromebook was reported Saturday at 1423 18th St.

An individual reported being battered by a known person who was trespassing at 1102 Hubbard St. A notice to appear (NTA) was signed and served.

Police were notified of two horses at large shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of 2nd Street. They were picked up by a local rancher.

Theft of medication was reported at 2615 Lakin Ave.

Monday morning, a subject reported an alleged theft; he loaned his vehicle to a friend, who then drove to Kansas City. He was advised of his options.


Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service was on standby Friday at the Great Bend High School football game.

There were three EMS calls on Friday, 11 on Saturday and five on Sunday.

There were no fires reported, but there were two false alarms on Sunday.
