Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters responded to a stove fire at 717 Kansas Ave. at 11:57 a.m. Friday. There was smoke detector malfunction on Saturday and a smoke report at 10:32 p.m. Sunday at 2110 28th St. No fire was found.

Emergency Medical Service responded to four calls on Friday, four on Saturday and five on Sunday.

Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:39 a.m. Friday at 8th and Patton Road.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:46 a.m. at Lincoln and Meadowlark Lane.

A theft was reported at 1807 Monroe St.

A burglary was reported at 5210 10th St. Apt. 12.

GBPD officers assisted Kansas Highway Patrol with a traffic arrest at 9:22 p.m. at 10th and Main.

A theft was reported Saturday at 1414 Holland St.

A theft/burglary was reported at 1211 McKinley St.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 2406 18th St.

A K-9 unit was dispatched to 7th and Main at 8:15 p.m. Saturday and a warrant arrest was made.

Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported to the police department.

Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at Adams and Lakin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4 a.m. Sunday at 2512 Broadway Ave.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 1114 Sherman St.

Barton County Sheriff

With snow on the ground last Friday morning, there were more highway crashes that usual. Injury crashes were reported at 6:42 a.m. at NW 40 Ave. and NW 100 Road, Hoisington, and at 9:54 a.m. at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road, Great Bend.

Non-injury crashes were reported at:

- 6:11 a.m. at 281 Auto Salvage, 561 N. U.S. 281;

- 6:41 a.m. at N. U.S. 281 and mile marker 108;

- 6:23 a.m. in the 700 block of N. U.S. 281, Hoisington;

- 7:11 a.m. at NW K-96 and mile marker 173;

- 7:25 a.m. in the 1700 block of Susank Road, Hoisington;

- 7:09 a.m. at N. U.S. 281 and NW 60 Road.

- 7:51 a.m. at SE 20 Road and SE 105 Ave., Ellinwood

- 8:29 a.m. at N. U.S. 281 and NE 30 Road 

- 11:07 a.m. at mile marker 108 and N. U.S. 281. 

A battery was reported Saturday at the Barton County Detention Center.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:36 p.m. at NW 110 Road and NW 10 Ave., Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:14 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of N. U.S. 281, Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6 p.m. at mile marker 122 and N. U.S. 281, Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:27 p.m. at E. K-4 and 2nd Road, Claflin.
