Great Bend Fire/EMS

Fighters made five ambulance runs Tuesday. There were three fire calls:
At 10:59 a.m., units responded to 270 North Washington for an unauthorized burn. They found the homeowner burning trash and extinguished the fire.  
At 12:31 p.m. units responded to a grass fire in a ditch at 24th Street and K-96.
At 6:10 p.m. units responded to a vehicle fire at 2724 Broadway Ave. A small passenger car that had been involved in an accident was on the side of the road with smoke and flames coming from under the hood.
