Great Bend Police were dispatched to 2025 11th St. at 8:05 p.m. Friday to check a report of a vicious pitbull in the area. The dog was located but fled after biting an officer.

Police were notified Saturday morning that the dog had returned to the residence. Animal Control picked up the dog.

Later that afternoon, police returned to 2025 11th St. when a possible burglary was reported, with $200 missing from the residence.
