Police: Search warrant yields stolen items, drugs

The Great Bend Police Department executed a search warrant at approximately 3:42 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, and made four arrests at the Finer Mobile Homes trailer park, located at 5501 9th St., Lot #105.

Police had been investigating a felony theft that was reported to have occurred on Aug. 1 at a Kwik Shop in Great Bend. Garry Smith III, 33, was identified as a suspect and traced back to the residence at the trailer park.

Upon executing the search warrant, police arrested Smith along with Amanda Kramer, 34; Shirley Burrow, 43; and a juvenile male runaway. Three minor children were also located inside of the residence.

During a thorough search of the residence, items from the alleged theft were located and seized, as well as suspected illegal drugs and items of drug paraphernalia. Smith, Kramer and Burrow were arrested on charges of felony theft, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, interference with law enforcement, contribute to a child’s misconduct, and aggravated endangering of a child. The three were transported to the Barton County Detention Center and booked in lieu of bond.

The juvenile male was arrested for interference with law enforcement and transported to Barton County Detention Center. The three minor children located inside of the residence were documented as Child In Need of Care cases and later released to family members.
