Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Services made six ambulance runs Friday, Dec. 9, eight Saturday and five Sunday.

There was an unintentional fire call caused by a smoke detector malfunction on Sunday.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash occurred at 7:38 a.m. Friday at 16th and Morton.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:44 p.m. Saturday at McDonald's.

An officer attempted to stop a vehicle at 1:13 Saturday in the 800 block of Hubbard St. The driver fled on foot and the vehicle was impounded.

A domestic battery was reported at 5:34 p.m. Saturday at 103 Elm St. Antonio Quiroz Jr. was arrested on charges of domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He was released from jail on Sunday after posting bond. Barton County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

An officer took a case for a narcotics violation, Saturday evening at the jail.

A burglary was reported Sunday at 2219 16th St. Someone stole a speaker from a vehicle and slashed the tires.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:27 p.m. Sunday at 1208 Jackson St.

An individual reported a domestic battery at 2:49 p.m. at 3117 Broadway Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:53 p.m. at 1906 Jackson St.

Theft of a firearm was reported Sunday at 5221 Eisenhower Ave.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash occurred at 4:50 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of West K-4, Hoisington.

Officers responded to a domestic call at 3:55 a.m. Saturday in 836 SE 20 Road, Ellinwood.

Officers responded to a domestic call at 3:08 p.m. Saturday at 436 NE 10 Ave., Great Bend.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:39 p.m. Saturday at the Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave.

Officers checked on a reported disturbance at 1:37 a.m. Sunday at 11th and Main, Great Bend.
