Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made four ambulance runs Thursday.

At 11:11 a.m., firefighters extinguished a small grass fire at the base of a power pole at 341 SW 60 Road. The fire was caused by arcing.


Great Bend Police

KU Med requested a prisoner transport at 12:01 a.m. Thursday from the Great Bend campus, 514 Cleveland St.

A theft was reported at 12:40 a.m. at Loves Country Store, 1221 10th St.

Police responded to a domestic call at 6:56 p.m. Thursday at 1425 16th St. Megan Harrison was arrested and released after posting bond.
