Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service received nine ambulance calls Thursday. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

A citizen was assisted around noon Thursday at Fort Zarah, 330 East U.S. 56.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:45 p.m. at 409 East 2nd St., Ellinwood.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:25 p.m. in the 400 block of NE 110 Ave., Ellinwood.

A pursuit was reported at 8:53 p.m. from 9th and Washington, Great Bend. GBPD also responded.

Theft was reported in the 200 block of North Washington Ave., Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A burglary was reported Thursday at Walnut Plaza Apartments, 2611 28th St. Items were stolen from a residence.

A theft was reported at 2019 Holland St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:52 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, 5630 Broadway Ave.

A possible injury crash was reported at 3:17 p.m. at McDonald’s, 3307 10th St. A vehicle driven by April Albright was eastbound in the turn lane in the 3300 block of 10th St. and collided with a vehicle driven by Jamison L. Blazer, who was making a left turn from a private drive.

A window on a residence at 4603 Broadway Ave. was shot with a BB gun.

A female subject reportedly stole items from the Dollar General store at 2400 10th St.
