Great Bend Police

A warrant arrest was executed at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday at Central Kansas Community Corrections, 1806 12th St. Kurt Woods was arrested and booked on Barton County and Rush County warrants.

A burglary not in progress was reported at 11:36 a.m. at 2010 Van Buren St. 

A license plate was reported found at 11:53 a.m. in the 5500 block of 10th St.

A hit-and-run non-injury crash was reported at 12:02 p.m. at Rana Luna Boutique, 1910 Broadway.

A hit-and-run non-injury crash was reported at 12:24 p.m. at 1100 Baker Ave.

A burglary not in progress was reported at 12:47 p.m. at Cherry Village Apartments, 5926 Eisenhower.

A warrant arrest was executed at 4:53 p.m. at Central Kansas Community Corrections. Cornelius Parker was arrested and booked for Barton County warrant.

A report of shots fired was received at 6:41 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Third St. The shots fired were reported coming from the river area.

K9 Menta was called out for a traffic stop at 8:19 p.m. in the 900 block of Williams St.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:13 a.m. Wednesday at W. Santa Fe and Park St., Ellinwood.

A sex offense was reported at 12;31 p.m.

A criminal damage was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Santa Fe. Ave., Pawnee Rock.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:23 p.m. at 24th and McKinley St.

A fraud was reported at 7:38 p.m. at 736 N. U.S. 281, Hoisington.

A K-9 call out was reported at 10:27 p.m. at mile marker 209, E. U.S. 56.

Eric Thiessen — Habitual DUI, No proof of insurance and ITOL. Bond set at $40,000 cash or surety.

Kurt A. Woods — Failure to appear, Barton County warrant. Bond set at $500 cash only. Failure to appear, Rush County warrant. No bond set.

James Drury – Serve sentence 

Darrin Halzele – Driving while revoked

Cornelius A. Parker — Probation violation in lieu of $50,000 cash or surety bond.
