A 31-year-old Russell man was injured Monday afternoon when a vehicle he was driving rolled over in rural Pratt County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Steven Swords, 31, of Russell was traveling northbound on NW 70 Avenue in Pratt County in a 2009 Western Star straight truck when the right tire dropped off the east edge of the roadway. Swords over-corrected back onto the roadway and traveled across both lanes of traffic into the west ditch, where the vehicle rolled and came to rest on its right side.

Swords was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with suspected serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
