Barton County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 37-year-old Jesse Julian of Raymond on multiple charges after receiving information on his whereabouts Wednesday.
According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, BCSO detectives had received information about a wanted person being at a residence in Great Bend. Detectives conducted a surveillance operation and observed the wanted individual, identified as Julian, leaving the residence. A traffic stop was conducted at 11th and Baker streets in Great Bend, and the suspect was taken into custody.
Julian was arrested at the scene on a probation violation warrant. Further investigation revealed Julian was in possession of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine. Julian was arrested on the District Court warrant for probation violation, and booked on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, as well. The probation warrant carries a $10,000 bond and the distribution charge a $300,000 bond.
Bellendir reports $3,000 cash, as well as a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, were also seized in the course of the arrest.
Julian was transported to the Barton County Jail without incident and booked on the above charges. As with all drug violation cases, the investigation is continuing, Bellendir said.
