Great Bend Police arrested two men this past Friday in connection with a Thursday, Aug. 26, burglary at C&V Home Improvement in Great Bend.
According to a Great Bend Police Department release, GBPD officers were called Thursday to investigate a burglary and criminal damage to property report at the business, located in the 1100 block of 10th Street in Great Bend. Police determined the suspects involved had gained access to the property, allegedly stole tools and equipment, and damaged several items during the incident.
During the course of this investigation, detectives and officers from the GBPD obtained and executed a search warrant Friday, Aug. 27, at a residence located at 306 Elm St. in Great Bend. During the search, items police identified as stolen property were recovered, and two arrests were made.
Taken into custody were Eric Ramos, 36, and Tito Torres, 37, both of Great Bend on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass and theft. Both men were both transported to the Barton County Detention Center and booked in lieu of bond.
A second search warrant was obtained and executed a separate residence located at 209 Holland St., also in Great Bend. Officers recovered additional items they identified as stolen there as well.
Additional search warrants are currently being obtained and executed on vehicles involved in this investigation, and the investigation is still ongoing, according to the release.
