Two people from Geneso were taken to Rice County District Hospital following a one-vehicle crash last Friday in Rice County.

Kansas Highway Patrol reported at 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Cindra Lyhane, 57, was southbound on 22nd Road at 5:20 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the west ditch. It struck a concrete culvert in a private drive, causing it to rotate counterclockwise and strike a guidewire before coming to rest in a field. Lyhane and passenger Robert Stewart, 54, were both taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.

KHP reports Lyhane was wearing a seat bent and Stewart was not.
