Two people were injured when a pickup truck collided with a trailer southeast of Hoisington Monday evening.

According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday, BCSO deputies responded to a reported injury accident at the intersection of NE 10 Avenue and NE 100 Road, just southwest of Hoisington. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a two-vehicle crash.

Upon investigation, it was determined a 1993 Ford F-150 driven by Alan Foust of Geneseo was northbound on NE 10 Avenue. A 2018 Nissan Titan driven by Jeffrey Jacobs was traveling west on NE 100 Road, towing a trailer. Investigation indicates Foust failed to yield right-of-way and struck the driver side of Jacobs’ vehicle as well as the trailer. The Nissan rolled two times, coming to rest on its wheels.

Jacobs as well as a passenger in Foust’s vehicle, identified as Diana Helm, also of Geneseo, both received non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. They were transported to Clara Barton Hospital by Hoisington EMS.
