HOLLYWOOD Marvel Studios is a veritable factory of superhero storytelling.

"Avengers: Infinity War" might seem like a culmination of all things Marvel, but it's only a highlight on a long list of the upcoming cinematic sprawl we can expect from the comic book-based universe.

Here are five upcoming Marvel movies I am excited about. Some have been officially announced, and some are just pipe dreams.

Movies already announced:

"Ant Man and the Wasp" (2018)

It's perhaps an obvious choice because it's the studio's next release, but this movie looks incredibly fun. The first "Ant Man" movie lacked a little in heart, but the main person bringing emotional depth to the film was Evangeline Lilly, whose character Hope Van Dyne is now officially The Wasp. With more of her in this movie, what could go wrong?

"Captain Marvel" (2019)

Not only is this a female-fronted superhero movie, but it stars an Oscar-winning actress and is set in the nineties. Imagine the possibilities! If you want to familiarize yourself with the character and her snarky, capable ways, I suggest reading the "Captain Marvel"comics written by Kelly Sue DeConnick.

"Black Widow" (in development)

Ten years after Scarlett Johansson took on the role of Natalia Alianovna Romanova, aka Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, she finally gets her own movie. It would seem to me she has more than proved herself, and I'm excited to see what she's able to do here.

The pipe dreams:

"Fantastic Four"

Dont misunderstand: I am not interested in seeing yet another remake of the F4 origin story if it's more of the same of what we've seen in the past. But a more interesting cast and better writing could be due for, and bring some life to, these poor four. With the merger of Disney and 20th Century Fox, it could happen!

The "X-Men" from my childhood

Specifically, I'd like to see a movie with Rogue and Gambit in the same timeline, so I can watch them banter their way through a touch-free relationship. I am certain this would require some sort of reboot and finagling of the current X-Men universe, but I think we can all agree that romance is worth it.

What upcoming Marvel movies are you looking forward to, and what unannounced movies would you like to see the studio produce? Let us know in the comments!
