The Taiwanese woman only 32 weeks pregnant was about six hours into a 19-hour China Airlines flight from Bali to Los Angeles last week when her water broke, according to ABC News. She immediately alerted the crew, who requested help from fellow passengers.
Luckily, a doctor was on board and quickly jumped to her assistance. Passengers stayed quiet during the labor and delivery to try to keep the woman calm, ABC reports. She bit down on blankets when the pain grew too intense.
The woman is tough as nails, said Amira Rajput, a fellow passenger who took a cellphone video of the flight attendants and the new healthy baby girl after the delivery. It was super chill. People were super quiet and calm so that this woman could have a stress-free experience.
