Tim and Ruth Bredahl received a gift for their 50th wedding anniversary that brought them back to their first day as a married couple.
About a week ago, Bredahls two daughters, Michelle Wolter and Heather Goetz, bought their parents a 1965 red Mustang sports car, the same car the couple drove on their wedding day, according to KARE-11 News.
The daughters told KARE-11 they found the Mustang sitting in a brokers lot and bought it.
"You've got to be kidding," Tim said when he first saw the car. "This tops everything. It's unbelievable."
Wedding anniversaries are an occasion worth celebrating, no matter how many years youve been married, according to The Huffington Posts senior editor Shelley Emling. Anniversary celebrations show couples that marriage is a priority, and that creates greater trust and happiness in a marriage.
And so these days I believe celebrating one's anniversary must never be overlooked, as it reinforces the fact that your marriage is a priority, Emling wrote. An anniversary celebration also allows you to pull back from your daily grind and relive a moment that changed your life forever. My mother always used to say that anyone can pull out all the stops on their wedding day. But when a couple makes it to 10 or 20 or 60 years of marriage, well, now that's something that really needs celebrating.
