OHIO A compelling dashcam video of an Ohio state trooper performing CPR after a semitruck accident drives home the reality of just how intense responding to an emergency situation can be.

In the video, you can see the crash on the right side of the road as trooper Eric Devers arrives on scene. Devers disappears from the cameras view as he runs to the trucks cabin, but his emotional audio made it onto the recording.

Trooper Devers found the driver belted in the drivers seat, taking low, gasping breaths with eyelids half closed, a statement on the Ohio State Highway Patrol Facebook page reads. After a short amount of time, the drivers eyes rolled back into his head; he slumped over and quit breathing.

You can feel the intensity of the situation as Devers yells, Dont you die on me! and encourages his patient to keep breathing. Devers is credited with saving John Depues life. While someone driving by did stop to help, it took 12 minutes for medical personnel to arrive on scene.

Devers was presented with a certificate of recognition Thursday for his actions. The driver, amazingly, is reported to have made a full recovery. After the accident, Depue learned he has a heart condition, which led to the crash.

"How can you say 'thank you' for saving your life?" Depue asked on Fox & Friends. "I definitely think he was my angel that day."
