LA LA LAND I dont know about you, but as far as I have ever known, barbershop music only came in the form of quartets.

So imagine my surprise to discover that barbershopping not only comes in the form of huge choirs, but their competitions can include heavy use of choreography and props.

In 2009, the Ambassadors of Harmony took full advantage of their singing and light dancing skills to become the International Barbershop Chorus champions.

As you may recall, the 1962 version of The Music Man features a roving barbershop quartet. While the Ambassadors of Harmony look to the film for their inspiration, they instead pull out the big guns with their rousing rendition of Seventy-Six Trombones.

Although you may personally find this style of music and performance cheesy, I defy you to not at least crack a smile (if not wholeheartedly enjoy yourself) as you watch this large group of men put their whole heart into a performance that ends with a standing ovation. It is, in a word, joyous.

Yes, the video is old in Internet years, but I would consider myself derelict in my duty if I didnt do my utmost to make sure everyone possible sees this ray of sunshine and expression of pure delight.
